UPDATE!

A bit quiet, but still moving strong.

Started work on a commission this week, an image of Patti Smith photographed by Robert Mapplethorpe. Above is some prep work for the painting, stretching on a 20” x 20” frame. Sized the canvas this afternoon, and after drying this evening, gesso and staining tomorrow.

A bit behind schedule with my self-portrait, I’m waiting to finish before posting more shots. Definitely happy to have my very own portrait with oil paint in the books (hopefully down in history at some point as well?), happy once it’s done…
