Little bit country, little bit rock and roll.

I’m Gatlin McClun, a tattooer and oil painter based in Kansas City. I’ve been painting in oils since around 2010, mostly figures and portraits in warm, classical tones, and I spent a few years in Los Angeles painting, sign painting, and taking on whatever creative work came my way.

In 2021 I started my apprenticeship at Crimson Tattoo, and I’ve been tattooing there ever since. These days that means traditional flash, florals, black and grey, and bigger custom projects. I still take painting commissions on the side.
